People come to me to work on:
increasing self-awareness
improving communication skills
establishing healthy boundaries
Asking soul-searching questions: Who am I? What is my purpose? What are my values and how do I enact them? How can I better connect with my body and emotions?
Seeking healthy communication skills: desire to be assertive, hold boundaries, and effectively convey thoughts and feelings
Navigating transition: starting or leaving a job, adjusting to a new home or seeking a lifestyle shift
Grappling with relationships: a breakup, entering a new relationship, wanting to grow deeper in your current relationship
Beginning or continuing to process trauma: finding internal regulation, re-patterning actions, reclaiming a sense of self
I help people find clarity through:
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
-Carl Rogers”
My style
As an attachment therapist, I help clients repair and build healthy relationships with themselves and others. By fostering honest connections, I support healing from past wounds and encourage the development of stronger bonds. I invite you to explore your emotions, be present during challenges, and share laughter amid life's absurdities. I maintain direct relationships and address incongruencies with care. I serve as a guide, mirror and cheerleader as well as a fellow being who resonates deeply with the human experience.
“To be whole. To be complete. Wildness reminds us what it means to be human, what we are connected to rather than what we are separate from.”
― Terry Tempest Williams
My core approaches:
My work is personalized and dynamic. I am trained in a broad range of theories and modalities and the following are what I pull from most often:
Internal Family Systems (IFS)
An attachment-based approach used to understand how we show up in the world by exploring the different “parts” of ourselves that take on various roles within our psyche. The goal is to create a secure internal attachment to better align with values and cultivate self compassion.
Family Systems Lens
A scientific and psychological theory that helps us understand who we are in the context of the environment we grew up in. Increasing awareness of familial and cultural influences leads to re-patterning unhelpful behaviors and strengthening life-affirming practices.
Brainspotting (BSP)
A powerful trauma processing modality that accelerates the healing process by bypassing the “cognitive mind” to access the subcortical brain— where trauma is stored. This is a mind-body approach for gaining awareness and control over how we respond, decreasing symptoms of anxiety and depression and tapping into internal resources to regulate the nervous system. BSP is effective for treating psychological and physical pain from trauma.
