My core approaches:

My work is personalized and dynamic. I am trained in a broad range of theories and modalities and the following are what I pull from most often:

Internal Family Systems (IFS)

  • An attachment-based approach used to understand how we show up in the world by exploring the different “parts” of ourselves that take on various roles within our psyche. The goal is to create a secure internal attachment to better align with values and cultivate self compassion.

Family Systems Lens

  • A scientific and psychological theory that helps us understand who we are in the context of the environment we grew up in. Increasing awareness of familial and cultural influences leads to re-patterning unhelpful behaviors and strengthening life-affirming practices.

Brainspotting (BSP)

  • A powerful trauma processing modality that accelerates the healing process by bypassing the “cognitive mind” to access the subcortical brain— where trauma is stored. This is a mind-body approach for gaining awareness and control over how we respond, decreasing symptoms of anxiety and depression and tapping into internal resources to regulate the nervous system. BSP is effective for treating psychological and physical pain from trauma.
